About the Author

Chris Kyle was born in Odessa, Texas, in 1974. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999 and served as a Navy SEAL sniper during the Iraq War. Kyle was credited with 256 confirmed kills, making him the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history. He retired from the Navy in 2009 and became a successful author and speaker. Kyle was killed in 2013 by a fellow veteran at a shooting range in Texas.
