Colonel Harland Sanders was a man of humble beginnings. Born in 1890 in Henryville, Indiana, Sanders dropped out of school at the age of 12 and worked a series of odd jobs before finally finding his calling in the restaurant business.

In 1930, Sanders opened his first restaurant, a small roadside café in Corbin, Kentucky. Sanders' restaurant was an instant success, and he soon began to expand his business. By the 1950s, Sanders had a chain of restaurants across the country, and his fried chicken was becoming a household name.

Sanders' success was not without its challenges. He faced financial difficulties at times, and he was even forced to sell his restaurant chain in 1964. However, Sanders never gave up on his dream, and he eventually regained control of his company. In 1971, Sanders sold KFC to Heublein, Inc., but he remained active in the company as a spokesman and goodwill ambassador.

Sanders died in 1980 at the age of 90. He left behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and innovation. Sanders' story is a reminder that anyone can achieve their dreams if they are willing to work for them.
